British carmaker Aston Martin presented the new convertible interation of the Vanquish flagship just as the Volante name celebrates 60 years

The Vanquish gains a convertible sibling called the Volante for 2026, and its fabric soft top can retract in just 14 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph. Aston reports that the extra structural bracing it added to improve the topless body’s rigidity plus the weight of the roof’s power mechanism have added a little over 200 pounds.

So, no, I don’t think Ferrari is losing much sleep about its relegation to “second place.” That said, the new drop-top version of the Vanquish impresses because it loses nothing in top speed compared with the Coupe.
