The brand-new $225-million campus is innovative. The library has no books; it's all digital. Classrooms feature an expanse of windows. Security equipment is largely invisible.
Evette Wedlow, Compton High class of 1980, was on hand for Thursday's ribbon cutting at the newly rebuilt campus. "We were strays because we had nowhere," Wedlow said of her fellow alumni.
