Feb. 14—MINNEAPOLIS — The Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd dance team is back at this week's state championships after grabbing Section 3A titles in jazz and high kick last Saturday in Montevideo.

The Shadows have a young squad with two seniors, Hannah Oie and Addy Tufto. Tufto was on last year's all-tournament team when LQPV/DB finished second to St. Cloud Cathedral in jazz and high kick.

A dance popularized by President-elect Donald Trump appears to have taken the sporting world by storm, after multiple US athletes across the country brought it out to celebrate plays this weekend.

Now, the GHSA is poised to use video review again with three other sports — competition cheer, game-day cheer and dance — perhaps signaling a willingness to expand the tool.
