After nearly 30 years in business, Piero’s Pizza & Pasta has closed in Akron. The restaurant at 363 S. Seventh St. opened in 1989 and featured a variety of Italian entrees.

In a social media post, the downtown Akron business announced the news saying, “there have just been too many obstacles to overcome.” They intend to remain open until Oct. 19, and then shut down.
