Detroit police said they are investigating the death of an infant on the city's east side after they received a call of an unresponsive infant Sunday morning.

Detroit police are investigating the death of a baby girl found last weekend at a home on the city's east side, officials said. Police at about 9:08 a.m. Sunday were called to a home in the 13000 block of Corbett Avenue near Dickerson Avenue and Interstate 94 after a female infant was discovered unconscious, the department said in a statement.
