Mueller-Weiss syndrome is a rare disorder that affects the navicular bone in the foot. It’s mostly found in people ages 40-60, and it’s much more common in women.
Other ways of taking pictures of the bones of the foot (such as a bone scan, CT, MRI, or ultrasound) can be performed to look for unusual or hidden injuries, but they are rarely needed.
