Police in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, responded to an active shooter incident in the downtown area on Sunday evening. A shelter-in-place order was lifted at around 10:54 p.m.

Jacksonville Beach Police Chief Gene Paul Smith said the incident began Sunday with a gathering of 250-400 people in their late teens and early 20s under the pier.
