Rooster Teeth — the studio behind animated web series such as RWBY, Red vs. Blue, and Gen:Lock — seemed like it was shuttering for good last year. The company announced that it was winding down operations due to parent company Warner Bros.

The brand and the bulk of its remaining assets have been acquired by co-founder Burnie Burns through his company, Box Canyon Productions.
