Uintah Wrestling is certainly no stranger to success, but between 1999 and 2021, it didnt see a single state championship. The Utes were a dominant program in the 70s, 80s, and 90s and now they are returning to thier former glory with its fifth consecutive state championship.

Spanish Fork is the repeat winner in 5A wrestling and the Dons did it in dominating and record-breaking fashion. For the second straight year, Spanish Fork (331) held off Box Elder (319.5) to win the gold trophy,

Karson Shelley did something he had accomplished three years previous in his high school career, so he capped Wednesday's 5A state wrestling championship bout with something he hasn't tried in years: a back flip.

It was close through day two, but ultimately Spanish Fork found late separation and took home the 5A state championship trophy alongside five individual titles.
