It's been a long time coming, but Thunder Bay's new multi-use indoor turf sports facility is officially under construction.

A brightly lighted and turf-covered soccer field has emerged inside a former gym at 5100 Franklin Ave., where adults can play on Sundays and school-age youngsters will stretch their legs.
