Less than a year after they tragically died, over 1,000 people gathered to honor the memory of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. On Saturday morning, the inaugural Gaudreau Family 5K Walk/Run and Family Day was held at Washington Lake Park in Southern New Jersey.

After competing in the first 5K of the day, Guy and Jane Gaudreau embraced in a warm hug as they honored Matthew and Johnny at the inaugural Gaudreau family 5K.

The Gaudreau Family 5K, in memory of local hockey stars Johnny and Matthew, is set for May 31 in Sewell, New Jersey.
