BALTIMORE - One of Baltimore County's police officers is taking on the role as a high school baseball coach. Officer Brad Tippin has been named as the head varsity coach at Lansdowne High School.

Baseball season gets underway for Baltimore County baseball squads this week and opening day features a local rivalry when Western Tech hosts Lansdowne at 4 p.m. Thursday at Arbutus Middle School.
