The Gift of the Magi written by O. Henry tells the story of a poor couple, Jim and Della, who sacrifice their most prized possessions to be able to afford Christmas gifts for each other.

In the second dance session the children offer their gifts to the baby Jesus then celebrate with skipping and star-jumps. The Kings are almost at the end of their journey following the star.
