The high school girls basketball regular season is coming to a close this week which means big conference matchups including Monday night against Maroa-Forsyth and Athens.
The hardwood and Avery were a perfect match. She's become a star for a Maroa-Forsyth team that, at 18-3, is off to its best start in coach Selina Finck's 20th year coaching the Trojans.
Maroa-Forsyth won back-to-back championships defeating Meridian 68-43, while St. Teresa held on to win third place beating Central A&M 40-38.
