Neal is a graduate of Boston University. FRAMINGHAM - At a time when retail store closures are surging, the parent company of TJ Maxx and Marshalls is talking about opening hundreds of new stores.

The Framingham-based off-priced retailer confirmed that it plans to shutter two stores — a T.J. Maxx and Marshalls — in New York City and a T.J. Maxx location in Chicago by January 6.
