In New Orleans East, a judge has set a bond of $100,000 for a man named Chad Bridges. He is charged with negligent homicide after his dogs attacked and killed an elderly woman. This tragic incident happened last week and has raised many questions about the care and control of pets.

According to court records, a piece of the fence that separated the yards of 36-year-old Chad Bridges and 81-year-old Barbara Stewart, was broken.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police say the dogs who broke out of a man’s Little Woods backyard and killed an 81-year-old woman earlier this month also escaped from their enclosure last year, injuring a teen girl, according to court records.
