Dear Abby is written by Abigail Van Buren, also known as Jeanne Phillips, and was founded by her mother, Pauline Phillips.

The flames are not limited to the bodywork, but they extend into the engine bay, where they are featured on the cover of the V8, but also inside, where they are most visible on the dashboard.
