The MHA's complaint, which is now part of the FIR, has alleged that though Oxfam India's FCRA registration ceased, it planned to circumvent the law by taking other routes to channel funds.

In 2018, they estimated that Britain had drained India of approximately $45 trillion (£36.5 trillion), which was based on a slightly different period – 1765 to 1938 – from the Oxfam timeframe.
