PSV are Eredivisie champions for a second consecutive season as they finish one point ahead of second-placed Ajax, whose late-season collapse cost them.

Ajax had led PSV by nine points with seven league matches remaining but a remarkable collapse saw Peter Bosz's side pip them to the title.

PSV Eindhoven clinched the Dutch championship title in a dramatic finish, overtaking rivals Ajax who had a significant lead but faltered late in the season. Ajax's win against FC Twente was insufficient as PSV's victory over Sparta Rotterdam secured their 26th Eredivisie title.
