Google Photos will show the People and Pets grid. Anyone that you no longer wish to see in memories or creations, simply tap the image and a little hidden eye icon will appear overtop of it.

The compromise is right in your lap. You know it upsets her to see herself in pictures, so stop showing them to her. But do keep them, even if she insists on seeing them and insists they be destroyed.

DEAR MISS MANNERS: How can I politely stop someone from showing me endless photos on their cellphone? I have never been much of a picture-taker, and don’t enjoy looking at other people’s photos.
