A New Jersey beach town shut down its boardwalk after 73 people were arrested, three stabbings occurred and multiple fights broke out.

Police have shut down the boardwalk in Seaside Heights after three straight nights of violence at the Jersey Shore.

Multiple fights, stabbings, and at least 73 people were arrested in Seaside Heights between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. on Memorial Day, police said.

The violence unfolded during a 72-hour span that began early Friday and ended around 6 a.m. Monday in Seaside Heights.
