Police are praising the heroic actions of a local pilot who confronted and stopped a teenager who entered the Texarkana Regional Airport on Tuesday brandishing guns and demanding a plane.

The teen was arrested for aggravated assault, attempted aggravated robbery, and first-degree terrorist threatening, Texarkana Arkansas police said.

A 15-year-old boy stormed a small regional airport in Arkansas with an AR-style rifle while demanding a plane — until he was stopped by a “heroic” pilot who ran and grabbed his own gun, according to officials.
