Other parties also are helping with the project. Crews are building a settling pond on the river on the east side of U.S. 40 near the entrance of the Mary Jane ski area and a new wetland area.

What has perhaps not been clear is that Blue Heron owned 39 acres on the West Linn side, used for a settling pond, which was recently purchased by Clackamas County's Water Environment Services (WES).
