KINDER, La. (KPLC) - An audit of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections shows “inadequate controls over inventory” at several correctional centers across Lousiana that have not been resolved.

Warden Sandy McCain and medical director Dr. Casey McVea both worked at the Raymond Laborde Correctional Center in Avoyelles Parish. The state says McVea died over the weekend and McCain died Monday.
