Japanese-owned Round 1 Bowling & Amusement will open its first New York bowling alley at the Broadway Mall in Hicksville. Company officials said they expect Round 1 to open in early July.

That compared to a year-before deficit of $33.9 million for the firm, which also owns the Cherry Hill Mall and Cumberland Mall in Vineland. Macerich had a first-half net loss of $17.6 million.
