A significant portion of the $200 million would be allocated to construction, including a new high school in the proposed West Corridor. Board member Ben Lindy highlighted the financial challenges.

Murphy said that the new corridor model, which divides schools into east, west, and central zones, is expected to reduce the number of students traveling across the city on public transit.
