The utility submitted a proposal Friday in response to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s request for Los Angeles utilities to bury all their power lines after the fires.

Southern California Edison transmission towers have been removed near the Eaton Fire burn scar for further examination.

The tower parts are being transported to a warehouse for testing as part of a comprehensive investigation into the Eaton Fire's origins.
