The Diamond Wildcats battled up against the Kennett Indians in the Class 2 State Semifinal round of the Class 2 State Tournament. Diamond and Kennett were also seen matching up last year in the championship round.

Summerville softball has won 83 straight games since losing to Byrnes in 2023. Byrnes will try to end that streak in the state title series.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The first edition of the four-class WVSSAC State Softball Tournament begins Wednesday, May 28 at Little Creek Park in South Charleston. In previous years, the entire tournament was completed in two days. This year, the event has expanded to four days.
