South Africa has won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in a must-win tri-nation series game for both teams at an upgraded National Bank Stadium.

New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won his second successive toss and elected to field against an understrength South Africa lineup in the cricket tri-nation series. New Zealand had to make one forced change with opening batter Rachin Ravindra replaced by Devon Conway.

New Zealand qualified for the tri-nation series final by defeating South Africa by 6 wickets in Lahore. Kane Williamson's unbeaten 133 and Conway’s 97 guided NZ to chase 305 runs in 48.4 overs. The next match between Pakistan and South Africa on February 12 will decide the finalist.
