After our initial attempt to romp on the KTM 1390 Super Duke was basically shuttered by rain, we got a second chance at the Portimao circuit – this time in perfect conditions. Hang on.

Known as “The Beast”, KTM’s 1290 Super Duke R is one of my favourite ever bikes. It’s a great-looking, beautifully handling, lightweight super-naked sportsbike with an awesome V-twin motor.
