Thirty-nine people were hurt and 27 of them brought to hospitals in an accident involving a Greyhound bus in Tennessee on Memorial Day, the Madison County Fire Department says.

There were 32 passengers, one bus operator, and one relief driver on board at the time, Greyhound told USA TODAY on May 27.
