Spores play a major role in The Last of Us Part II, mainly for how Dina finds out Ellie is immune; in the show Ellie gets bitten defending Dina, while in the game Ellie's gas mask gets broken in the spore-filled subway tunnel.

Will they choose a side in the war being waged between the “Scars” and the “Wolves”? When does the next episode of The Last of Us come out on HBO and MAX?!? The Last of Us is an adaptation of the beloved video game series of the same name.

I also really enjoyed “The Last of Us” on HBO, and named the first season (which covered the events of the first The Last of Us video game) the best video game adaptation ever. I should also adore “The Last of Us” season 2, considering it’s adapting what I believe to be even stronger source material.
