Jul. 20—A new ALDI grocery store that will soon open in Urbana is one community members have been asking to have "for a long time," said Champaign County officials.

The Urbana store is the ninth of nine new stores to open this year. The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer operates 185 supercenters in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
