MELLING Victoria took the League Cup trophy this year beating a hard-working Fantail team 4-2 at Burscough’s Victoria Park after an entertaining and spirited game eventually went the Vic’s way.

THE Ormskirk and District First Division title was won by Melling Victoria who had a nine point advantage over nearest rivals Mariners.

A train from Preston to Southport takes approximately an hour, or from somewhere like Ormskirk, it only takes around 40 minutes. Victoria Park is then a 10 to 15 minute walk away.
