She was an avid boater and a member of the Wethersfield Yacht Club, serving as President of the Wethersfield Yacht Club Women’s Auxiliary. She had also been an active member of the Sphinx Temple.

An avid sailor, he was a member of the Wethersfield Yacht Club and also was an active member of the West Hartford Rotary Club and the District Governor Nominee for Rotary District 7890.
