Wheeler High's Kaitlyn Kumpf finished second overall in the 3200 with a season-best time (11:29.62) on Saturday at the Marty Roberts Invitational at Coginchaug High School.

The junior hurled a three-hitter and drove in two runs, and the Eagles knocked off Wheeler 5-1 in Game 1 of their Class 1A quarterfinal playoff series. Game 2 is Friday at Wheeler.
