The Super Bowl national anthem has been performed on trumpet on five occasions (Lloyd Geisler in 1969, Doc Severinsen in 1970, Tommy Loy in 1971, Wynton Marsalis in 1986, Herb Alpert in 1988).

Super Bowl LVIII will be played in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium on Feb. 11. Usher will headline the halftime show, but the NFL has not said if any other stars will perform alongside the hitmaker.

The NFL announced the pregame entertainment lineup for the Super Bowl LVII, which will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, Feb. 12.
