Daniel Maldini took centre stage in Monza’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Monday evening. Monza secured their second victory this season, the first under new coach Salvatore Bocchetti, on Monday, beating Fiorentina 2-1 at the U-Power Stadium.

Fiorentina will be looking to leapfrog Juventus in the Serie A standings when they face Monza away from home in the final match of the 20th round of Serie A fixtures on Monday night.

The tempo dropped after that with Fiorentina mostly knocking it harmlessly around the back and Monza occasionally breaking. Moise Kean, largely invisible, had a chance after he robbed Warren Bondo deep in his own half and drove all the way into the hosts’ penalty area but couldn’t pull the trigger.
