Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian has purchased a minority stake in Chelsea FC Women, giving him an ownership stake in two of the most-valuable teams in women’s sports.

Ohanian has already enthusiastically tweeted the “unapologetically ambitious” line, and his contribution to the official statement was to say that, having seen Angel City’s growth, he is “confident Chelsea FC Women is the next global women’s sports brand”.

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian says he has bought a stake in Chelsea’s women’s soccer team. Ohanian, who is the husband of tennis great Serena Williams, announced on social media that he’s joining the Women’s Super League champions as an investor and board member.
