A federal appeals court in Washington state focused its questioning during a hearing on Wednesday about the Trump administration’s attempt to end birthright citizenship on the language of the 14th Amendment and whether it indeed confers citizenship on anyone born on U.

The Justice Department on Wednesday pressed a federal appeals court to reverse a judge’s ruling that blocked nationwide President Donald Trump’s effort to end birthright citizenship.

The arguments at the courtroom in downtown Seattle were far different from a few months ago when a judge called Trump's order "blatantly unconstitutional."
