The ATP Indian Wells Masters will have a new champion for the first time in three years after Jack Draper denied defending champion Carlos Alcaraz a hat-trick of titles here with a solid three-set victory in the semifinal.

Jack Draper said finding consistency can help him challenge the best players in the world after the Briton reached back-to-back ATP finals and marked his entry into the top 10 for the first time. Draper lifted titles in Stuttgart and Vienna and reached the U.

Denmark's Holger Rune beat Daniil Medvedev 7-5, 6-4 to reach the Indian Wells ATP Masters final on Saturday, denying the Russian world number six a third straight trip to the title match.He gained the decisive break for a 6-5 lead and pocketed the set when his rolling backhand drew another error from Medvedev.

Denmark's Holger Rune snapped a seven-match semi-final losing streak to reach the Indian Wells final, beating Russian Daniil Medvedev 7-5 6-4 in a tight match on Saturday. Rune, the number 12 seed, lost to Medvedev in the quarter-finals a year ago and will next play the winner of the match between Briton Jack Draper and back-to-back defending champion Carlos Alcaraz of Spain.
