North Carolina fully expected the hiring of NFL coaching legend Bill Belichick to put a spotlight on its football program.

Carolina estimates a 35% growth in ticket sale growth overall. It expects that to climb to 50% when individual tickets become available for sale.

“It was the craziest (expletive) that I’ve ever seen on the sideline between two coaches,” Johnson told Julian Edelman on the “Games With Names” podcast. “Because Belichick didn’t want to put me in and Parcells wanted to put me in.”
