Florentino Pérez has labeled Carlo Ancelotti “forever part of the Real Madrid family,” after officially sacking the legendary coach for the second time.

Ancelotti will take over the five-time World Cup winners on May 26 following a disappointing final season in Spain where Real fell short in LaLiga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. His four-year stint in the Spanish capital is his longest time spent at a club since his eight-year spell at AC Milan in the 2000s.

Real Madrid have confirmed Carlo Ancelotti will leave the club at the end of the season after being appointed Brazil’s new head coach. The Brazil Football Federation (CBF) confirmed Ancelotti’s appointment a fortnight ago and he will start work on May 26.
