San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is about to become a very rich man. According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jonathan Jones, Purdy and the Niners have agreed to terms on a five-year, $265 million contract extension.

Brock Purdy's new contract puts into perspective just how little money he was making relative to other QBs on his rookie deal.

Purdy is now tied with Detroit Lions signal caller Jared Goff as the seventh-highest paid QB/player in the NFL. The richest contract in league history, based on annual average salary, still belongs to quarterback Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys at $60 million per season.
