The internet has identified the man as Andy Byron, the CEO of tech start-up Astronomer, and it has been widely alleged that the woman he’s with is Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s head of HR. (Their faces seem to match the photos on the company’s “About Us” page .)
CNN has not verified the identities of the man and woman, but the video had people on social media speculating about who they are and their relationship status. CNN has reached out to a representative for Coldplay for comment. It is far from the first time a kiss cam has led to a tricky situation.
It started out as a routine bit of fun at a Coldplay concert: Lead singer Chris Martin asked the cameras to scan the crowd for his “Jumbotron Song,” when he sings a few lines about the people the camera lands on.
