Rapper Doechii won best rap album at Sunday's Grammy Awards, becoming the third woman in the award show's history to claim the prize.

After Cardi B revealed that Doechii won the award for best rap album for Alligator Bites Never Heal, she instantly burst into tears. Once she took to the stage, the rapper noted that only three women have won in the category since being introduced in 1989, including Lauryn Hill, Cardi B and now, Doechii.

Beyoncé won album of the year for “Cowboy Carter” at Sunday’s Grammys, delivering her — at last — the show’s elusive top award. The superstar, who is both the most awarded and nominated artist in Grammys history, has been up for the category four times before and many feel she has been snubbed by its top honors.
