Felix Baumgartner’s widow has shared footage of his fatal paragliding flight. The legendary daredevil died on Thursday (17 July) in an accident along the eastern coat of Italy. He is thought to have suffered a sudden medical issue before falling to the ground near a hotel swimming pool in the town of Porto Saint’Elpido.
The Austrian daredevil — who in 2012 became the first person to skydive from the edge of space –reportedly complained of feeling ill before his fatal paragliding jump Thursday in the Italian coastal town of Porto Sant’Elpidio, Italian news outlet Il Resto del Carlino reported.
Felix Baumgartner, who has died in a paramotoring accident aged 56, was a daredevil skydiver, BASE jumper and aerobatic helicopter pilot who achieved global celebrity after leaping from the edge of space.
