It took until Week 8 for the true contenders to pull away from the pack and now there’s a clear group of four frontrunners for the Heisman Trophy. Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Dillon Gabriel and Ashton Jeanty are the only players in the country with odds shorter than 10-1.

It's a touching move by Jeanty, who is in the middle of a Heisman trophy campaign while boosting his NFL draft stock every week. In the latest Athlon Sports mock draft, Jeanty was projected to go 16th overall to the Dallas Cowboys .
