Robin Schiff, who wrote the original and is known for showrunning the Neflix hit Emily in Paris, returned to pen the sequel. Laurence Marks, the veteran producer who produced the original, is also back in same role. Barry Kemp, the creator of 1980s series Newhart, is also producing.

One of the most offbeat studio comedies of the ’90s is getting a follow-up. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion is getting a sequel at last, with original stars Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow returning.

Alan Cumming previously told EW that he is "excited" to return for the sequel. Now that they're done folding scarves, Romy and Michele are finally preparing for their next reunion.
