Manhattan Community Board 4 has unanimously voted no to a proposal by Related and Wynn Resorts for a casino at Hudson Yards.

Joshua David, co-founder of The High Line and former member of CB4, testified that the project "reeks of greed and disregard for the community."

Manhattan Community Board 4 has voted unanimously to reject a casino and entertainment complex proposal by gaming giant Wynn for Hudson Yards. The advisory vote now goes to Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine as part of the city’s land use review process, ahead of an eventual public hearing. The tally on Monday was 39 against and 1 not voting.

Manhattan Community Board 4 recommended rejecting plans on Monday to upzone part of the area and potentially allow a developer to build a full-scale, full-service casino near The High Line.
